What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

Very nice, clean campground. Staff kept toilet tissue stocked throughout the day and bathrooms were clean.
There appeared to be squatters coming into the parking lot at night - once it got dark - that put covers over their vehicle window privacy and slept in their cars. They used the bathrooms and left at the crack of dawn. It made us feel uncomfortable and frightened that unregistered people would sneak in at night. Just thought you should know this is going on ...

Enjoyable time. Having good campground hosts seems to make all the difference. The hosts were excellent this year. Whereas last year, they weren't around, and the year before, they walked out. Plenty of firewood to buy onsite, without having to find some in town. No rowdy campers this year, a real plus! A peaceful relaxing trip. A family favorite campground since the eighties.
