What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

Perfect spot for tent camping all the way up to 30+ ft trailers. Limited spots for bigger trailers but decently easy to navigate. Early on and late in the season, water faucets may not fully be on. Be prepared to watch for ticks during the season. Overall this is a great way to unplug and enjoy the forest. Take the drive through Rainer National, you won’t regret it.

This is a nice campground near Mt Rainier. I especially like the riverfront sites. Minus one star for the the bathrooms: pit toilets that are often in subpar condition and regularly run out of toilet paper on summer weekends— I highly recommend having a roll of your own!
