What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

Disappointing. We had to pay for a “double” site because it was the last available but it was no different from the others. RVs were only allowed in one loop and it was basically a wide road—you just pulled over to the side of the road and parked. Add to that we had a beautiful view of the dumpsters right across from us. So we had the most expensive site with the worst view and a gross smell. The other reviews must be based on other loops because this was just bad. Luckily it was a brief overnight. $40+ for a lame boondocking site. Will not go back.

I’m holding back on giving this 5 stars only because it’s hard to have an overall opinion when 90% of the reservation didn’t show because of the forest fire smoke from OR. The bathrooms remained clean and the crowd noise was non-existent—it was a ghost town. The camp sites were great and the campground rustic—the way we like it. However, I’m somewhat disappointed that all sites seem to have remained reserved. I saw no cancellations posted which seems hard to believe no one would update their reservation. It made sites unavailable to those passing through which these days is common, unfortunately. We spent most of our time up at Mount Rainier’s Paradise which was beautiful. Great location for outdoor activities.
