What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

Lots of food debris left behind by previous campers that were not cleaned up before we arrived. Because of this, there were a significant amount of bugs present that began to infiltrate our food and camp materials the moment we pulled it out of the vehicle. Understand that when camping in the woods there will be bugs present, but this was like we were on top of the anthill and the ants were guests for dinner. In addition, there were quite a few loud and disruptive people that walked through our campsite to get to the river at 2 am. We stayed only 2 out of our 5 nights and decided it was better to get a site at a smaller, more secluded campground.

Brief stop but this is a beautiful, wooded campground.

Online map of campground does not represent where the sites are actually located. Site may look to be on the river on the map but in reality it is NOT on the river.
The campground host was super friendly and helpful.
Bathroom was clean.
Beautiful site and very quite.

Been going to La Wis Wis since I was a baby. It was my favorite campout every year and still is.
