What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

This was very disappointing trip, our “rv” spot was just on the side of the road, a lot of people had parked in our spot, and our rv would have faced directly into the neighbors tent. We left.

We stayed at site 12 in H loop. H loop was nice and private, but no running water. The restroom was open, but no faucet to wash your hands so make sure to bring water tanks. The Blue Hole was just a few minute walk and it was so pretty. It was quiet during the night. I like this campsite better than Ohanapecosh for easier access!

Our family have been camping at La Wis Wis since 2013. We love the location, it's beautiful, peaceful and we have never had any problems with the host. Every summer there is different hosts. But we had never had a problem. The bathroom do get messy, but there is a lot of people. We take our portable toilet so we have no problem there.
If you like the outdoors, there is a lot to do all around the area. From hiking to fishing, swimming (water very) my kids love getting in the water. We can spend hrs just skipping stones on the river. One of the things I love about this camping site is all the beautiful trees. Since we been going there hasn't ever been a problem with campfire been prohibited. Not at La Wis Wis, that I love. Camping with out campfire is no fun. And I love waking up to the sound of the river.

No flush toilets, only vault/pit.
Campsites were nice and spaced apart.
Firewood from host was a little pricey at $8 a bundle.
