What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

The host was very very mean and rude 😕 My kids where so bothered by the way she treated us they wanted to drive all the way home!

Overall the trip was nice. The campground was mostly clean, I think they could have cleaned the bathrooms more. I was pretty quite except for the large party in the group site. The camp host ran out of firewood on so make sure you bring plenty of your own. Also there were lots of mosquitoes, bring repellent!!
The blue hole swimming area was nice a little hard to find but worth the hike.
ABSOLUTELY no data signal for electronic devices buy could make a short call out if necessary. If your wanting to be unreachable this is a good place.

Love this campground. Managed to get a great spot right along the river (D loop is great!). Very close to Ohanapecosh and not far to the Naches Peak loop hike. So many great places to explore if you make this your base! The pit toilets weren’t great when we arrived - some pretty full and messy. The port-a-pits close to our site were really full. However, the next day was apparently septic day and and toilets were clean and empty! Also it was unclear when check out/check in was - different times were listed at the campground vs. the online reservation info

The campground is beautiful. The hikes are glorious. This is the perfect campground, except the campground host Stephanie. She lacks basic communication skills, let alone the skills needed to be in this position. Unable to manage a simple conflict, she escalated a nonsituation into a huge event, one she concluded by standing in our camp telling us that "people like you need to find somewhere else". People like you, still isn't clear if she meant disabled or LGBTQ, either way its gross and unacceptable. I would absolutely go back, but not if she was working. We ended up leaving two days early .

Lovely campground with spacious sites and sound of the Ohanapecosh river along side our loop. We had a peaceful stay and recommend this campground if you dont mind driving a few miles outside the park boundary.
