Nice, well spaced and heavily wooded sites. The campground host was really nice. The restroom and shower facilities were very clean and well cared for. Trails were in fair shape except where horses had damaged them.

Very large sure that are fairly private. Sierra and restrooms were clean and nice.

Campsites were large enough. I like to be able to have the fire pit far enough away from the camper awning so sparks/ash doesn't land on it.
Bathrooms/showers were clean.
Crystal Cave was about the only tourist thing close by.
The beach is a little inconvenient to get to.

Highland Ridge is camping like the old days. Sites are all separated from each other by trees and they feel secluded and out in the woods. Nice facilities that are well maintained and cared for. The site hosts are charming and helpful. The Rangers are proud of their site and are advocates for the greater Corp of Engineers sites. What a great stay!

Basically unattended. Coming in you are un-welcomed by the branches overhanging the road scraping even the smallest rigs. Gloomy. The sites are crammed onto one narrow access road, you feel like you are parking rather than camping, and you have to circle around this road through the whole place to scout a site. The 'host' has the 'off duty' sign out at 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon. A little unpleasant for people who have trouble getting a signal in this remote location to complete payment.

Site 21 is an awesome spot but the whole campsite in general is great! Our go to location for RV camping.

Loved the campground and being amongst all the trees! Very friendly and inviting. Very peaceful place! Clean facilities and hot showers! It does get a little messy when it rains with the dirt mix they use on the sites.

Very pretty area, fully wooded campground. Many sites were spacious; nearly all were completely shaded. Bathrooms were dated but clean. Many nice hiking trails. Site 16 has a beautiful view looking down the wooded hill; it's a slightly awkward back-in. Friendly and helpful campground hosts.
