Enjoyed a lovely two weeks in the campground with few complaints. The showers are in need of reworking the floors to contain water away from the changing areas but we know it’s a pretty hefty expense. Also while we were there, the dump station was modified by adding a raised stainless collar. This needs reworking also as most rvs and trailers now have to aim uphill to empty. The area now will have much runoff collecting, creating smell whereas if it were built in a pit, all black and grey waste would run downhill and could be rinsed away.
Mentioned this to the ranger who said he would bring it up to the head ranger. I hope to return next spring to find my two concerns fixed. Thanks!

The sites for camping were very nice. Most were level for RV's and trailers. Sites were well spaced. Did not use the restroom facilities, so no comment there. Nice quiet campground. Very nice host.

we booked our site unseen and when arrived couldn't fit in the spot, was given another site but couldn't back in because of trees and electrical posts. nice looking campground. sites could be enlarged.

The campground is well cared for and the bathrooms/showers are clean and stocked. We enjoyed the hiking trail and the playground. It is a beautiful setting. The beach is on the other side of the lake but it is easy to find and worth the drive.

Camp hosts were so sweet and friendly! Very proud of the grounds, as the should have been! Gorgeous sites, not “on top” of your neighbors, and wonderful/semi challenging hiking trails!
Bathroom/showers were clean and comfortable. Note that if you need/forget something, it’s a 10-15 min drive to the nearest store…but hey, getting away from it all is kind of the point, right? Loved it! Will be back!

We stayed at site 28 and it was close to the main road of the campground inside the group loop. The site was a little tight in our 30 ft travel trailer so you have to pay attention to your position in order to use the awning. However, the site was so shady we didn’t even use the awning. The gravel site was fairly level and took very little time to get setup. It’s an electric only campground but we didn’t have any issues. Even know it’s a very wooded area, site 28 does not have much privacy from the main road and people passing by. The group loop wasn’t bad but there are much nicer, larger and more private spots further into the campground. Pit toilets in the group loop weren’t nasty but they weren’t great either. Bath house seemed clean but we didn’t use it because it’s not very close to the group loop. There is a water spigot at the entrance of the loop and a fresh water fill co-located with the dump station. The dump station is very small and you’ll need a hose for fill up and any sort of black tank flushing needs. Some sites in the group loop were short and steep and won’t be good for longer trailers. Cell phone reception was okay with Verizon but we only received a few tv channels on the factory antenna. Recommend a visit to Cady’s Cheese Shop and Leinenkugel’s Brewery.
