Quiet campground, although of course we there in late December. We own a tall truck camper 12ft 6 in., it was nice to see low branches were already removed. Level site semi - private. Would certainly return. Directions were hard to find on web site. Also to book a site was quite difficult, not the most user friendly web site, much easier on KOA sites, anyhow beautiful park. Thanks to staff.

Very clean bathrooms and camp sites. Cell service is good for this area of Uwharrie.

There was only a few sites occupied so it was extremely quite. Everything was clean in the facilities.

Arrowhead campground is a nice place. I've now been there during each season of the year. April, July, September, and December. I'd have to say my stay in December was my favorite, only because of how quiet it was (a lot less people out camping in December).
Sites are big enough for a trailer or small RV, electrical hookups and water availability. I always tent camp, and the sits are big enough for my 8x10' tent, an easy-up, and all our stuff.
Super easy access to all the trail systems around Uwharrie from the Arrowhead campground as well.
My only complaint is the bathroom. On busy weekends the bathrooms will run out of toilet paper and soap really quick, and don't get restocked or cleaned. Also, during the summer, there's no ventilation on in the bathrooms. I don't think there's AC for that little building, but even just some airflow would help. It becomes a sauna. Not awesome. Also the showers have one water nozzle, and it's hot water only. and it gets hot! So if I had to say one thing I didn't like about the campground, that'd be it.

Awful! Water shut off to fill camper- only hand pump water on and not allowed to place hose. Water near dump shut off for the season due to cold water? Um, host water in both places was on and one host area was empty and no one allowed to get any water. What a horrible situation. Not supposed to travel with tanks full on trailer, so what are you to do for water? There was a concentrated "effort" placed to keep anyone from being able to obtain water from empty host site. Paid for a site with electricity, but beware you may not be able to have water to wash dishes with or cook at this campground. Won't be back.
