Excellent campground. Pretty in the trees. Away from main traffic on highway. Campsites well spaced many with great privacy. Some more social. Other campers in this campground are hikers, explorers , wolf watchers ,etc.Tents or smaller RV types. Best thing is NO generators.!! Thank you. Hosts are friendly, efficient , and protectors of the rules, which is good. Many trails and fishing out of the campground.

Indian Creek was quiet and peaceful. We would recommend any of the shorter hikes along the creek or other trails near the campground.

Quiet and large campsite, away from each other.
But no sink to wash dishes and of course no shower. You can take a shower for 5 bucks in the hotel of Mammoth.

Host was awesome. Vault toilets very clean. Beautiful campgrounds. New fire pits are not good. The pits stand two feet tall and are double insulated. You can't see the fire, nor can you feel the heat seated in your camping chair. What's the point of a fire if you can't see it or feel it? Do not understand this. Besides the new fire pits a great stay. Lots of wildlife around campground and well managed.

Campground was in a beautiful wooded area on the north side of the park. Check in was very easy and everyone was very friendly!

Overall the campground is great. Our site was actually very bad for a camper though, #73. Backing in, it is a very sharp turn, with a tree in corner of the spot that make backing in even harder. Plus a slight drop off opposite side, so you can’t pull forward very much.
Many of the sites have a nice tent area with pebbles to drain. Outs did and it was good.
The camp host were very nice and helpful.
One thing all the sites need is an enclosed place to wash dishes. It is very hard as they don’t want you to clean by the water or anywhere else and to only dump water and food down the toilets. Pretty gross and we lost some silverware in the soapy water. Seems they can charge a little more and build dishwashing stations attached to the bathrooms, but not actually in the bathrooms.

It’s a great spot if you are looking to traditional camp. No generators allowed it’s fairly deep in Yellowstone. The park staff removed the bears that wandered in right before we were checking in fairly efficiently. Be prepared to follow strict bear country rules with foods and scented products.

The campground was quiet and clean. It was very well managed. It was convenient to both Mammoth and Norris and the facilities, such as laundry, at Canyon.
