Got to stay at this sublime campground days before the fire destroyed it. such a shame. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and I would come every year because everything about it is just so wonderful and you are steps away from the canyon.

Absolutely the crown jewel of our ten-National Park trip and we are heartbroken that fire destroyed it two days after we left (which was hours before the evacuations). This was our last stop and everything was amazing, from the huge canyon-view site to the camp host couple and shuttle drivers. We had saved the best for last, and were hoping to someday return.

Site 15 has a slight grade but can get level. This site also is at the trail head so there are a lot of people passing by and cutting through your site. Pick site 14 or 16 for more privacy.
Campground is very quiet and it’s the North Rim :). Hopefully the Dragon Bravo fire doesn’t destroy this area. We left the morning of the evacuation order in the afternoon on 7/11.

I had forgotten what a wonderful campground this one is. The sites are spacious with room in between. It is mostly quiet and the general store is an easy walk

We loved our stay at the North Rim Campground. They were on a stage 3 water warning and we did not have showers or laundry available. We stayed 2 nights and it was fine. The camp sites are generous in size and beautiful trees with plenty of shade. We took the mule trip which was close by and ate lunch at the lodge deli -- a little overpriced but good food. We hiked many of the trails in the area. I would much rather return here than to the south rim again. It's just quieter and more relaxing. The cabins at the lodge looked very nice and inviting, we might have to try those out next time.

We stayed in Site 17 which was a last minute booking. It had shady areas in morning and evening for cooking. RV was always in sun which was hot during the day. Site was close to restrooms and trash. And, trail. Bathrooms was very clean! Rules for generator times was not enforced. Over four days saw one person driving thru park checking on things. Wonderful stay.

The campground is just lovely!!! It's very clean and quiet. The bathrooms were super nice, too.
There are a few things to know: if you're tent camping, while this is considered a "premium" site, it is sloped with no tent pad. If you're car camping, the driveway is also on an incline. The site is adjacent to the Transcept Trail which means there are hikers to and fro most of the day until sunset. If you have a dog that barks at people, this might not be the site for you. Also, pick up firewood ahead of your stay. The camp store was out late afternoon on Friday (4th of July) and still hadn't received their expected delivery when we left on Sunday.
I adored my stay here but think these might be important for other campers to know. I will definitely be camping here again!

Everything was great, the only complaint I have is that the showers were not working due to water restrictions. It would have been nice to be notified prior to our camping trip.
