Quiet, peaceful, safe, clean, close to shuttle and plenty of shade. The general store, showers and gas station are all conveniently located at the entrance to the campground.

The views are absolutely spectacular. Nice and quiet. Unfortunately, the showers are FREEZING cold, and so, incredibly unpleasant.

The campground was clean, spacious, quiet, with nice balance of shade and sunshine. The bathrooms were clean and maintained well. The potable water was nearby for each campsite. The Transept Trail that led to the Lodge was beautiful, a great view of the canyon and just steps away from the campground. So relaxing!

Overall, it was good but it could be better. We were in T12 and the Picnic Table was not level and needs to be level to cook. The water and bathrooms did not work. The parks are charging more and these amenities should be functional for the price charged. The Grand Canyon is so beautiful and I would visit or stay again.

What's not to like?
This past 6 day trip to the North Rim Grand Canyon exceeded my expectations. We were there 7 years ago and this was an improvement. There's limited cellular service now, bathrooms in campground have been remodeled and updated. The shower/ laundromat facilities near the registration office have been updated and are much nicer. Really don't have any serious complaints about anything.
The number of visitors to the North Rim are only 10 percent of the people who visit the South Rim. This translates to a more serene experience. We've visited both sides and yes, there's more services at the South Rim. They are both worthwhile, but, the North Rim is more relaxing.

Site 16– we stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Site 16 has big trees pretty close to it, so we didn’t pull through — we had to back it out to be safe. Site 16 is right next to the Trancept trailhead, so we had a lot of folks walking by our site. Not a big deal for us but accordingly, not a lot of privacy at the site. The site is very spacious and has a lot of room towards the canyon. Camp store there was outstanding and laundry facilities worked well and was cheap. Water was right across the camp road from site 16 and was really good. Tasted like spring water. Bathrooms and trash were a 2-3 minute walk up the hill.
