Lynx Lake campground is a fantastic place to car camp! The area is stunning, very short walk to the lake and the camp hosts are friendly and ensure a great stay. Highly recommend it if you are able to get a reservation...it's in very high demand because of these things.

Nice campground in the woods and they are spread apart so not on top of each other especially the double site. The lake and lots of hiking trails abound.

In general an average campground. I like how it is organized into loops, which only allows about 4 campsites per loop, which does offer pretty good spacing between camps. Most campsites are way too far from the lake, which makes kayaking or canoeing impossible from your own campsite. None of the campsites have a view of the lake, which is why you want to camp near water anyway. So if you want to camp it is good, but don't expect any kind of water experience. The vault toilet was too close and by afternoon the odor was pretty bad. The camp hosts were very helpful and nice. There was potable water next to the vault toilets, so that was convenient. The tent sites were on red dirt that was nicely raked. However, I am from Montana and tent sites are on grass or on naturalized forest floor which is a lot less dusty and dirty.

This was the first time I've stayed at Lynx Lake campground. It was outstanding. I had to ask myself why I haven't stayed here before.

Mike, the campground host, was great, the flush toilets were a bonus and the lady next to us talked too loud.
