Always love my time up at Big Lake in the Apache Trout campground. The spots are spread out so you're not on top of your neighbor and have plenty of privacy. All the sites back up to forest for that added sense of seclusion. The bathrooms and showers have always been kept clean and the camp hosts do a great job of keeping the entire campground clean and picked up.

Beautiful lake to camp out, easily walking down to the lake from the campgrounds. Restrooms extremely well-maintained and Campos very helpful with some mechanical problems.

Campsights were well maintained. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The general store was well stocked. Only minus was the bathrooms, although clean, some were closed due to mechanical issues.

The campgrounds were clean and quiet for the most part. The only bad thing was one of the faucets were broken next to my camp

This campground was great. Hosts are top notch, very helpful and keep the place well maintained. Have to book as early as possible as the spaces go quick. Plenty to do. Just be aware that you will not have cell service at all with the exception of a few "sweet spots" around the area where you will catch a bit of signal. Will definitely be going back.
