What Guests Are Saying
Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

The campground itself was very nice. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions beyond the control of the COE, we had to leave after one of our four planned days at Toad Suck Park due to forecasted softball-sized hail and tornadoes.
While we were at Toad Suck Park, we enjoyed watching the tows on the Arkansas River navigate the lock across the river. The sound of water rushing through the dam on the river made a nice "white noise" backdrop to the area.
Although not within the scope of the review for Toad Suck Park specifically and not at our request, Recreation.gov generously refunded our reservation fees for time at Toad Suck Park, apparently recognizing the impossible situation that we were put in because of the weather forecast.

Beautiful and well maintained. C10 is a huge site, right on the river. We liked it so much, already booked it again. Close to restrooms, far from other sites. Kids loved it, multiple playgrounds, and perfect for riding their bikes.

We got to watch the tugboats pushing barges up the river. Toad Suck One-Stop store makes great sandwiches and very reasonably priced.
