What Guests Are Saying

Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

This park is very well maintained and has a terrific view of the dam and river. The reason I gave it four stars is because the bathrooms are not air conditioned and you will sweat profusely if taking a shower in the summer. The camp host, Al, is a dear and willing to help with any and everything.

Park was great. Attendant was wonderful. We’ve stayed here several times and they seem to have problems with the bathrooms every time!

Unknowingly, there were chiggers Galore! We were on the last site in #123 and it was a nice shady site. We were greeted by hosts Gary and Mary, who gave us a couple trash bags!. We went down to the tent site #95 to jump in the water to go swimming.

Spaces are crowded close together in Loop D- but the back side/end of loop is often not booked so you get more privacy. Loop A, B & C are nice. Clean park, friendly camp host.

We stayed in Site B7. It was easy back-in for our 38 ft motorhome with room to park our towed jeep in front. I believe we had 5-7 ft extra to accommodate a larger rig. We share the 1st part of our entrance drive with site B8, so it could be more challenging if this sit is occupied with a larger rig. We had a good view of the river and saw barges daily and of course the dam. the site offered good water and stable 50Amp service. It also had a stone picnic table to use. It was easy in and out of the park and only a few miles to Walmart or several good resturants.
