What Guests Are Saying
Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

We love going and watching the tug boats. The sites we have stayed in are really nice with 50 amp service.

Very clean camp sites which are not real close together in most of the campground. Being next to the Arkansas River was really cool, especially since you can watch the lock and dam system as barges come through.

A great campground with water and electric. Site spacing is nice and open. For the price it can't be beat.

Very nice park, section c is a bit slanted but manageable, be ready for grass spurs, our small dogs could only walk on pavement

This is a nice park close to the Arkansas River. Our initial sites, as I recall A14 & A15 were MUCH to sloped to put a camper and motorhome on - no way to get level. Visited the office - moved us to C4 & 5 -- which were to close but let us stay 1 nite past the closure date. This site was good. Bathroom & shower facilities good. Fun watching barges go into the locks. Not alot else to do in area - so just hung out by fire in cool afternoons and evenings.

Great place for those wanting more natural setting. The campground is right next to the Arkansas River water project with a dam and locke to move boats up and down the river. There is some information about this area being a spot along historic Trail of Tears. Its managed by the Army Corp of Engineers and requires a 2 night stay, but was quite inexpensive with a national senior rec pass.
