Campgrounds are always clean. Had electricity issue and campground host got someone out to fix it as soon as possible. We always enjoy our stay at Thompkins Bend.

We had a great camping trip. This was our first time here and it was beautiful! Our site was facing the cove and the sunsets were beautiful.

Tompkins Bend use to be our favorite campsite for several years, but this year I'm having a change of heart.
1. Nothing has been fixed in years! Same broken fence posts, same retaining walls falling a part, same run-down bathrooms, same deteriorating parking pads. 2. The boat ramp is absolutely beat to death! 3. No enforcement on campsite rules (number of campers, tents, and vehicles) has encouraged a great amount of.....riff raff showing up.
It is in an absolute beautiful location, but its losing its glory quickly.

Stayed at site D66, it was a nice spot. The parking space was fairly level with close water and electricity hook ups. It had a good distance between it and other sites with plenty of shade. The campsite had a trail down to the lake, some people nearby tied their boat up by the shore and some kids waded in to swim. The site wasn’t too far from the bathroom/showers. The bathrooms are not the nicest but everything worked well. The campground has a playground but it is not near any campsites. The campground host was kind and helpful at check in. Verizon didn’t work very well- I was not able to FaceTime and had to resend some photo texts. This was my family's first time at Tompkins Bend campground and we had a wonderful time!

Stayed 4 nights ,enjoyed so many things while being there . Did experience 1 problem = apparently I was on the end of 1 elec service so when others ran the 50 Amp my volts went below 108v my surge protector shut off power 2 prevent damage 2 the camper. When they left early sun ,there was no issues. I did let the people at the gate know when checking out. Pretty awesum trip.
