The bathrooms on the loop were closed up all week! We have been going to this campground for years and the main reason we stay on the loop is for the bathrooms. The last few years these bathrooms have had issues every time. We only get to go once a year and the bathrooms are 90% of the reason we stay here. So you can tell how very very disappointed we were! And they didn’t corps of engineers attempt to fix them the whole ten days we were there! I would’ve never drove all the way over there nor would’ve my friends from Texas had we know they were inoperable.

Campsites are very clean. Camphost very friendly. The park had a fish cleaning station a real plus.

We always enjoy our stay at Carter Cove. This year we came in a brand new camper. We stayed in site #34. Upon arriving on Sunday night, we realized that our hot water tank did not work. No problem, we thought, as the bathroom was directly behind us, so showers would not be that much of a problem. Only to realize that the bathroom was closed due to plumbing issues. We were there for two weeks. The bathroom never opened back up. This was a big inconvenience to us as well as many others in the campground. This needs to be addressed.

One of the restroom/showers was out of order during our intire stay. AT&T signal was spotty at best Verizon worked OK. Park attendants and park ranger were extremely nice and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay but not much phone service with AT&T. Other than that, we had a great time!
