What Guests Are Saying
Sunlight Bay offers a great location for camping and fishing, with friendly campground hosts and well-equipped sites. However, many reviews highlight issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms and showers, as well as maintenance problems like tall grass and debris. While some guests enjoyed their stay, the overall lack of facility upkeep led to dissatisfaction for several visitors.

We really enjoyed our time at Sunlight Bay but it is a campground that is specifically enjoyed by fisherman. The host was wonderful and seemed to take care of issues like barking dogs quickly and kept the grounds spotless. The road into the park is rough and narrow. We ride bikes and found many fun backroads to explore. The internet and TV access was practically nil. You really need to want to get away to enjoy this campground. Sites are level and camp roads are in good shape.

Staff was good. Some sites are large. Water had just receded when we arrived. Horse Flys were hungry. May need extra water hose. Faucet was 90 feet to rv hookup. Good sd t as you for fisherman . A lot of fish.

Camp is very secluded. Watch OUT there is a paved road in and a dirt road. Waze took us down the dirt road and it is very long and rough. Got the camper filthy. I called prior to beginning down the road and the camp host did not inform us to go down to the paved road! Do not go down the dirt road with your rig. The site was blown off sort of. Piles of leaves were all around the site. I raked them up but my BF was eaten alive by chiggers. Now, the other campers were super friendly and the nicest people. A joy to camp next to. Our site was one of the few with full shade, but trees were situated where we couldn't back in totally or we wouldn't have been able to open the awning. Down to the boat ramp area it has recently flooded and has not been cleaned up, a coating of dirt and debris covers a large area. Bring a long hose to reach the water hook up, it is not close to the paved area. If you love to fish, I think this is your place! Everyone was fishing! Overall we enjoyed the trip, but probably will not camp there again.

It’s a quiet park great for adults who like to fish, no swimming at this park, nice day trip to Hot Springs, Ar, Petit Jean state Park, Mt Magazine State Park and Mt Nebo State Park. The Park is rather isolated, but the reservation system is a problem , since it only allows 2 week stays.
