I gave it 4 stars because my campsite had a gravel spot for the tent. My fault for booking that spot, but seriously who would put down gravel where a tent is supposed to go. Other than that though, it is 10 of 10 would recommend for sure.

The swim area was closed due to debris and was not noted online prior to booking. We found out once we arrived. Kids were super disappointed. Also the west bathrooms are awful!!! Broken seats, dirty, needs updates!

Small park on the south end of the lake. The water levels are high right now and murky brown. The fishermen are seeming to like it.
Sites are small and with only electricity, no water or sewer hookups. There is a nice comfort station. And hopefully a campground host will be assigned soon.

Love this campground. This was our second visit. We enjoy that there is space between campsites and beautiful views!

The campsite bathrooms were locked and there was no one in the park entrance booth nor was there a campsite host. None of the other campers seemed to know what to do about marking their site/vehicle or where to go for information. I called the number for the facility and no one ever answered. The night before I stayed at a very similar site and had none of these problems. There are lots of other options in the area for camping and I would recommend you choose one of those, not this campsite.

Take Highway 412 East from Springdale and for about 8 miles. Turn left on Nob Hill Loop, then continue onto County Rd 95/War Eagle Blacktop Rd and travel about 3 miles. Turn left onto War Eagle Park Road, which is the entrance of the Park.
War Eagle Campground is accessible via Highway 412, approximately 8 miles from Springdale. This highway provides a major route for travelers in the area.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
