First I want to mention there is no park tenant on site. I reserved my husband 3 nights. He only stayed one. We went out on the boat for a couple hours. When we came back we found a strange woman asleep in our tent. We had to wake her up and run her out. She had made herself at home. Made herself something to eat. Then made the bed and went to sleep. And might I add left her under garments in the bed.My husband ended up going back out cat fishing awhile and went ahead and stayed the night there, but had a very restlessness night as you can imagine. I called the next day to cancel the reservations for other 2 days. Got money back on one day. She asked why, but didnβt seem to interested on the reason really. Worst camping experience EVER. The bathrooms were very clean. We did meet the people who maintained the bathrooms and they were wonderful people and we did see them twice while we were there. So they do stay on top of their job.

The bathrooms were new and clean.
I always like to start off on a positive and that was the only one I could think of.
Overgrown, unkept, small, and not really close to the lake.

Not near water. Swim area closed. Bathrooms really clean and nice. Lots of room and very quiet. Would love in the fall.

Upon arriving at the camp site at War Eagle there was no park attendance to check in with I found our camping site. Before I unhook I plug my surge protector into the electrical pedestal my protector show a open ground not wanting to chance damage my electrical on my trailer. There was a park ranger who was checking the park he came up to the site and see that there was a electrical problem. He call his supervisor and told him what the problem was and if they could get someone to come out and check. This was about 5:00 in the afternoon we waited until about 8:30 and it was starting to get dark and no electrician had show up. Not wanting to take a chance on the electrical problem we decided to go back home in Springfield Mo. which was about 3 hour drive. Will not go back

Take Highway 412 East from Springdale and for about 8 miles. Turn left on Nob Hill Loop, then continue onto County Rd 95/War Eagle Blacktop Rd and travel about 3 miles. Turn left onto War Eagle Park Road, which is the entrance of the Park.
War Eagle Campground is accessible via Highway 412, approximately 8 miles from Springdale. This highway provides a major route for travelers in the area.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
