What Guests Are Saying
War Eagle Campground offers a beautiful and clean environment with well-maintained restrooms and showers, making it a pleasant place to camp. Visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and spacious sites that provide privacy. However, some challenges include limited water access at sites, narrow roads, and a few overgrown areas, making it less suitable for larger campers.

Well maintained park with large, wooded sites. War Eagle cavern nearby is worth seeing. We would stay here again.

The shower and bathrooms were locked. We left early since we were tent camping and had no bathroom facilities.

The covered table was very well thought out and allowed for us to hang a lantern over the table.

Stayed in early November - great sites, very spread out with plenty of space. Not a lot close by which can be good and bad. Very quiet especially during the week, Friday got a bit noisier with campground filling up.

Our first stay at war eagle was great but when we booked the weekend after it was horrible. It was my sons 13th birthday and we had one person over the limit (8 per campsite.. we had 9) and rented an extra campsite because if it. The campsite next to us didn’t get there until 11:00pm and started setting up camp at 11:30pm. They then proceeded to keep us up all night. The next day we left to go to the lake and got back to find a car parked in our campsite. When we asked the attendant about it and informed them they had 25 people on ONE campsite they informed us that they were friends with them and it was in their culture to have that many people. It was irresponsible in the midst of Covid and ruined my sons birthday. They blocked the bathrooms and used a campsite that wasn’t theirs and nothing was done about it. We won’t be camping there again.

Nice hiking nearby called Cob Cave. I also loved the fact that the shower/bathrooms were so clean, especially during the pandemic.
