One of the best campgrounds in the Eastern Sierra Nevada! Couple of windy nights, but the rest of the week was great! Caught a 6-3/4 lb. trout! So many great memories with family and friends!

Excellent campsite. Private spot with a great view. Close to toilets but obscured by bushes and no bad smells.

Campground is nice, though some of the sites are too close together. Unfortunately generators are loud and annoying. One motorhome started at 6am. Please ban generators or charge them more or have no generator areas. Otherwise, beautiful area.

Gorgeous scenery in a very peaceful setting! Sites are quite spacious and wide open so our solar panels got lots of sun exposure.
We enjoyed a great meal in the lounge at Convict Lake Resort!

Very beautiful camp group, the bathrooms are clean and the people are friendly. You can see deer roaming around in the early mornings and just a hop and skip away from the trail. Had a pretty creek right across the way, wonderful spot to watch the sunset. An overall great experience.

Great location and scenery but facilities have gone to pot. Site looked nothing like the web pictures, overgrown and infested with large ants and flies. Depressing stay, we left early

Lots of deer around the campground. The hike around Convict Like is beautiful and is moderately easy. The restrooms were well kept and the campground host was very helpful.

Convict Lake Campground is about 34 miles north of Bishop, California on Highway 395. From Bishop, travel north on 395. The turnoff to the campground is across from Mammoth Yosemite Airport and is well-signed. From Mammoth Lakes, travel on Highway 395 south for 5 miles. Turn west off of Highway 395.

Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation. |
