What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

Beautiful view and great hike around the lake. A bit of the trail is sketchy and you need to be careful. Reason why I didn't hide it 5 stars is because I was expecting it to be more accessible. The have boat launch and rentals in the front but it takes up the whole front of the lake which ruins the experience. There are several areas to dip ur toes but fishing ruins that. Who wats yo play where people are fishing 10 ft next to u. I was trying to enjoy a nice sunset at the front and all I had were fishermen going back n forth. Lol so really good place for fishing

Wow, what can I say. What a Beautiful campground, especially Convict Lake, absolutely Beautiful. Loved early morning rides on my bike, lots of Deer around the area looking for eats. Privacy was no issue, no loud or disrespectful campers, everything was great. General store was a short walk or bike ride away, along with showers if you need one. Convict Lake restaurant is a must if you get a chance they had one of my favs ( Beef Wellington) it was AWESOME, and the Sour Dough bread, OMG. They have plenty of fishing, hiking, and Horse Back Riding right up the road. I will be back next year, definitely a great camping experience. I had NO cell service w/ Verizon, however you can connect @ general stores WiFi if you need it.

Site 6 is conveniently located not far from the toilets, recycle bins and water outlet. Short walk to the lake or shorter drive to the lakeside parking areas.
Please note, the site description says "No Bear Box", but there is in fact one at this site.

Beautiful area, saw a family of deer pretty quickly. Quiet and dark, loved it.

Beautiful CG. Facilities were clean and conveniently located. Fabulous views of the mountains! Nice to have dump station right there and included in the price. We didn’t know there would be such an easy water fill up spot. We hiked and paddled the lake and got to see Fish & Game dump 500lb. Rainbows at the boat ramp.
My only negative would be tripping hazards in the campsite at night. We would love to come back.

Camp site was nice. When I went to the lake I was verbally assaulted by a person that had saved her spot by leaving her glasses to mark the spot as taken. Not a pleasant experience

This location is beautiful. The campsites are very well maintained and many are very private. They have large parking areas and a pretty decent size camping area. The bathrooms are very clean and ventilated. The lake is beautiful and it is pretty easy to hike the perimeter. There is good fishing in the lake and stream. There are mosquitos at night only. Every site has a bear safe which is really convenient. The convenient store is a short walk up from the campsite with almost everything you could need. Overall, I would definitely reserve more stays at Convict Lake.
