What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

Very clean campsiites. Been coming to Convict for 40 years and this time the campsites and the restrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen.

One of the best camping spots ever! Beautiful view of mountains and deer came through every morning and evening. Even despite the afternoon thunderstorms every day. Clean bathrooms too. Definitely our Go to spot going forward.

I've been camping at Convict Lake for over 35+ years. This is the most beautiful location in the Sierras and an incredible place to stay!

As he has done for many years, the campground manager, Dennis, did an exceptionally good job making sure that the campground was well maintained, safe, and that the campers are made to feel welcome. My only slight complaint is that the fishing wasn't as good as it has been in past years. Also, the white temporary building at the resort near the store has never blended with the vibe or the natural aesthetic of the area, and we've never liked it being there. It's literally an eye sore. Probably not under your control, but you asked about my experience. This was our 48th consecutive year camping at Convict Lake. It's a family tradition, and it never disappoints.

Loved this campground, even though it was a lot busier than what I’m used to. The bathrooms were clean, and most of the other campers were respectful (except one family blasting music, though luckily we couldn’t hear it from our campsite). I’m looking forward to returning whenever I can make the 6 hour drive again. Such a beautiful part of the state.
