What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

Our reservation got canceled due to the national forest closures. Disappointing. Was so looking forward to returning there.

The campground host's are the best! Campsites and fire pits are clean when you arrive, the bathrooms are VERY clean and sanitized throughout the day, and deer greet you when you arrive! Beside all that, the fishing was awesome!

The Campsite was nice, Clean. The bathrooms were sparkling clean....so nice!! We did the hike to Mildred Lake, while the map says it is 4.5 miles, the sign says 5 miles...and my pedometer said 6 miles...so be aware of that if you choose to go. Now that I have been there once, I now know the campsite numbers I will try to reserve for my next time!!

We had a great experience there especially being near Convict creek. Being creekside was satisfying and it was fun for the kids to swim in and play by during the day. The nearby store was well stocked and at a very convenient walking distance from the campground. There is a restaurant next to the store that seemed well visited and offered take-out pizza, but we didn’t try it. Beyond all those conveniences the breathtaking sweeping views of the Eastern sierras from the campsites are what make me come back here over and over.

Beautiful place to visit, water is freezing and we went in summer so not for swimming, but gorgeous view of lake.
