I love Convict Lake Campground . I stay there a couple of times a year. You can see deer almost everyday. My friends and I like to fish the creek or rent a boat on the lake.

Camp ground was great. only bad experience was the weather. High winds made it difficult to enjoy. we left early.

Great place! So pretty! I made the mistake of not having any shade or covering, so even though it was fairly cool, I was hot from the sun. Wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been. The location and views are gorgeous. The wind gets pretty intense as well. My marmot backpacking tent held up, but it was fairly relentless.

Had a great time camping here at Convict lake campground. Easy check in, friendly staff and great scenery. Only downside was lack of trout stocking in the stream. I found out two fish hatcheries suffered fish losses and won’t be back to stocking this year.

Very clean campground. Firewood is available on site. An on-site souvenir shop/market and Vons market nearby eliminates the need to carry a lot of items from home. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well stocked. The site host is friendly and lots of things to do around the area. The view is unbeatable. Would love to visit again. It gets windy at late evenings and nights - so may be I’d trade the tents for an RV next time.
