What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

Convict Lake has always been my go to campground! The Lake there is beautiful and the scenery never gets old! The people who work at the boat rental place is always so nice and I’ve never had an issue there. The only thing you’ll have to remember is that cell reception up there is almost nonexistent. So if you’re looking to unplug, this is the perfect place!

Reservations were easily made on Recreation.gov, campsites are spacious, and well spaced. Dry camping was expected and a dump station is nearby. The scenery and Convict Lake is always "Great".

Enjoyed our trip to Convict Lake, unfortunately the fishing was slow but, lots of other things were very enjoyable. Check out Mammoth Brewing company in town for a memorable time with friends. Lots of good places to eat too, too numerous to mention. Planning our next adventure in May.

I have stayed at Convict Lake Campground on two different trips. It's one of my favorites because it is clean, pet/family friendly, large enough to take the pup for a walk without having to drive somewhere. I love having the lake so close, and it's such a pretty sight. Whenever I drive through the Eastern Sierras, I try to book a campsite here!

Convict Lake is just as beautiful today as it was 15 years ago when I first visited. Campsites are real nice, trail around the lake was good, but could use a little TLC in spots. I plan on visiting again in the early fall.
