What Guests Are Saying
Dogwood Campground is consistently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities, including flush toilets and hot showers. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the serene and private atmosphere provided by spacious campsites nestled among trees. While some visitors noted minor inconveniences, such as the price increase for firewood and challenges with tent placement, the overall experience remains highly rated, making it a popular choice for families and repeat visitors.

Campgrounds were great, really well maintained, and had all the amenities I would hope for. The employees that we interacted with were all super friendly and helpful. The only problem was the yellow jackets. They came swarming anytime we brought out any food or drink and they were somewhat aggressive. We didn’t get stung, but they did buzz around us a lot which freaked out the kids. Other than that everything was great, but it made quite an impact on our experience. We are considering coming back at another time of the year when they aren’t as active, or possibly bringing a deterrent of some sort.

We’ve been to Dogwood many times now and love the showers and flush toilets. Showers aren’t an additional cost and are separate from the restrooms. Restrooms have a flush toilet and a sink with soap. This specific site was nice, but just close to the neighbors. If the neighbors are talking loudly after quest hours, you will hear it. This site had two nice flat areas for tents. One for a smaller tent under some trees and another right behind the bear bin. Not too many bugs at this time (July). There were some wasps but not enough for us to put up the netted shade cover. We have AT&T and were able to have 2 bars. The parking spot is tricky for two cars. Looks like only one car could fit but we were able to squeeze a minivan and an SUV there legally.
