Dogwood Campground is consistently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities, including flush toilets and hot showers. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the serene and private atmosphere provided by spacious campsites nestled among trees. This was our first time to Dogwood and we stayed at site #68. We absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful this spot was. There was plenty of space, mature trees for shade and flat space for our oversized tent. There is a slight slope where our tent was, but wasn't an issue. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They let us know that due to the current fire threats, we had to keep our flames no higher then 12", which is completely understandable. We need to preserve the beautiful place and prevent wild fires.
The reason I gave it 4-stars was because of the showers. Although we loved the fact there were showers and were clean, some of the showers need some repairs and updating. One of the showers, the drain was clogged. So you are essentially in a flooded shower. Not exactly sanitary. It was so bad, the water drains out the door onto the walkway. They need to get that fixed (and maybe it has). Another shower, the tiles were missing where the shower handles are. Minor, but probably should be fixed.
Overall, we loved this place and would definitely stay here again. And actually, we are currently looking for available dates to secure before the end of this season.

Dogwood is a very nice, well-kept campground. This spot is large, plenty of shade and NOT too close to other campers. There were a lot of flies at certain times of the day. We also saw a bear in the early morning by the trash bins, but not near our site. Great place to camp!

The campground was very well kept, had free hot showers, spacious sites, and lots of shade. The only negative thing is all of the bugs right now, but that is probably any campsite and inevitable. This site is good for families staying at the campground mostly and easy driving distance to lake Gregory for water fun. I wish there was a hike with a nice view nearby but there really aren’t any “nice views”. It’s located side by side to a high school and busy highways too so safe if anything happens to get to the city fast.

Great camping site for groups! They sell firewood at the entrance of the campsite. Clean and accessible bathrooms. Will be coming back!
