Spacious campsites, lots of trees, well maintained showers and bathroom, and 10 minutes to Lake Arrowhead.

Beautiful campground! Showers and bathrooms were great. Close to the village. Unfortunately we encountered a ton of yellowjackets at our site and couldn’t eat or relax until dark, through no fault of the campground. They did provide yellow jacket traps at the sites but it was just the wrong season to go I guess.

Although I haven't been camping in many years, I have to say that Dogwood is the cleanest and best maintained campground I have ever stayed. I would recommend that campers be prepared for the bees. They were not an issue until we brought out our food. We used mesh table tents to cover the food which helped but it was still difficult to keep them off of our food.

The location of this campground is very convenience. It is close to Domino and many other local restaurants. 10 mins or less drive to Lake Arrowhead village.

The campsite was beautiful and the bathrooms very clean but the meat eater bees on campsite #30 were very intense. Thankfully they didn’t sting any of us but they were very intimidating to say the least. My 5 year old son didn’t want to leave the tent for a day because he was so scared of getting stung. We could not eat our meals peacefully because they would take over our plates and or land on our hands. I would love to return and try another campsite number hopefully we can have a more peaceful time.
