Dogwood Campground is consistently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities, including flush toilets and hot showers. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the serene and private atmosphere provided by spacious campsites nestled among trees. While some visitors noted minor inconveniences, such as the price increase for firewood and challenges with tent placement, the overall experience remains highly rated, making it a popular choice for families and repeat visitors.

Stayed two nights at Dogwood #22. Great experience- lots of trees and shade. Hookups, table, firepit. Flush toilets and free showers with hot water! Not too crowded- lots of space between campsites. A few yellowjackets, but not a problem.
The staff was great, and kept the place clean and well serviced. Pete and Karen, in particular, were charming and very helpful on several fronts. And the price is right, particularly for those with a senior pass! We're coming back soon!

Our site, #16 was easy to back in to, fairly level and very peaceful. The RV sites are a bit narrow but they all appear to have large outdoor areas with a fire pit and picnic table. My only issue is the treacherous point of entry/exit into this park. It is a blind corner and traffic from the busy highway makes this turn at speed, with little concern over the campground road. This made entering and especially leaving the campground very concerning and dangerous.

Campsite #33 has a big, flat area that is great for setting up a tent and has lots of shade. The parking space fits only one car, and there’s a small slope from the parking area to the campsite, so loading and unloading can be a bit of a hike. Privacy is a bit less since it’s close to Campsites #85 (with electric) and #84, which is perfect if you’re camping with friends. Water is conveniently just across the street, and the next site has water too. The restroom with a hot shower is diagonally across from the tent area, and the hot water is a nice bonus. This site is good if you bring pets, with plenty of room for them to roam. Watch out for yellow jackets and flies. Definitely coming back to Dogwood.

Lots of yellow jackets, got stung by one on the leg while cooking. No traps setup anywhere on this site. Other than that site was spacious and felt secluded from other campers.

Very Nice Campground although, I would not reserve #32 again. Close to restrooms but, closer to the dumpsters.

Campgrounds were great, really well maintained, and had all the amenities I would hope for. The employees that we interacted with were all super friendly and helpful. The only problem was the yellow jackets. They came swarming anytime we brought out any food or drink and they were somewhat aggressive. We didn’t get stung, but they did buzz around us a lot which freaked out the kids. Other than that everything was great, but it made quite an impact on our experience. We are considering coming back at another time of the year when they aren’t as active, or possibly bringing a deterrent of some sort.
