This site is directly in front of the bathroom. There isn’t any privacy, but it’s excellent for small children or people that have to use the restroom often. Bathrooms are cleaned out often and always had toilet paper. I booked sites 10 & 11 because on the map they showed to be next to each other. However, they are not and instead they are across from each other and site 11 is across the street and directly in front of the restroom with much less privacy. My family ended up sleeping at site 10 for privacy and my other friends on this site. People were constantly walking through the site to go to the restroom. There’s a walking path right through it. You basically share the space with 3 other sites and can see everyone, there is no privacy at all whatsoever at this site. The picnic bench is big and the space is flat and near your car, so the convenience of all makes up for it. Especially, if you have small children.
We did experience the yellow tail bees, but only when meat was out. Any other food they don’t come out, but the minute you have meat, they are all over you. The showers are not in the restrooms in front of this site, they are a bit further down and you can easily walk or take your car. There’s parking space if you want to drive there. The showers are free with cold and hot water. You have to constantly push the shower button because it doesn’t stay on long. The staff is super friendly and come around selling wood so it was very helpful. There’s a market Jensen nearby, but Strater Bros in Lake arrowhead is much cheaper and still very close.
We went to Lake Gregory on Saturday and I’m glad I read to book tickets ahead of time because there was a line to go in and it was sold out so many people got turned away. We parked at the south shore parking lot of the lake, it had plenty of parking. We went for ice cream at the market across of the lake, there’s and ice cream shop inside.

I like the privacy of this site. I don’t like the little slope there is to get to your car or to go to the restroom. Lots of up and down when packing and unpacking. The site is spacy with about 2 flat areas for a tent. We have a big 10 people tent and our friends had a smaller one. We found 2 flat spots for them. The bathroom was conveniently across from us. I booked sites 10 & 11 because on the map they showed to be next to each other. However, they are not and instead they are across from each other and site 11 is across the street and directly in front of the restroom with much less privacy. I should have booked site 9, which is next to this site, yet not so close and we still had our privacy which was great. Our friends from site 11 slept in that site, but hung out at ours because of the more secluded and private space. The picnic bench is big, we took 2 more tables and still had plenty of space.
We did experience the yellow tail bees, but only when meat was out. Any other food they don’t come out, but the minute you have meat, they are all over you. I don’t know if they bite, but we didn’t get bitten. Do prepare for mosquitoes so take candles or repellant. The showers are not in the restrooms in front of this site, they are a bit further down and you can easily walk or take your car. There’s parking space if you want to drive there. Stayed two nights at Dogwood #22. Great experience- lots of trees and shade. Hookups, table, firepit. Flush toilets and free showers with hot water! Not too crowded- lots of space between campsites. A few yellowjackets, but not a problem.
The staff was great, and kept the place clean and well serviced. Pete and Karen, in particular, were charming and very helpful on several fronts. And the price is right, particularly for those with a senior pass! We're coming back soon!

Our site, #16 was easy to back in to, fairly level and very peaceful. The RV sites are a bit narrow but they all appear to have large outdoor areas with a fire pit and picnic table. My only issue is the treacherous point of entry/exit into this park. It is a blind corner and traffic from the busy highway makes this turn at speed, with little concern over the campground road. This made entering and especially leaving the campground very concerning and dangerous.
