Panther Flat Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility, featuring hot coin showers, flushing toilets, and spacious campsites that provide good privacy. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts and the beautiful natural surroundings, including access to the nearby Smith River and hiking trails. While it can get busy in the summer and occasional noise from other campers or road traffic is noted, many visitors still find it a pleasant and enjoyable camping experience overall.

The main reason I rated this campground with 1 star is the noisy party that took place on the next camp site to ours. They entertained us with the loud music till 3 am and the camp host did absolutely nothing to stop them.

Camp site was clean, spacious, and provided plenty of shade. On site restrooms were clean, functional, and secure. Pretty nice restrooms and shower considering. River near by is pretty and overall just a great site and experience.

Sites are large in forrest. Beautiful! Beach area along Jedediah Smith river with two wide pool areas. One next to cliff with cool springs running out of cliff. Redwoods National Park 10 miles away. Too many special attractions to list. Bathrooms & showers very clean. No hook ups for rv. Who cares?

Great camping spots with large parking areas for trailers in lots of them. Restrooms very nice with showers. River beautiful and easy to get to .

When we registered we reserved a spot that would allow a trailer and two vehicles. The parking are was not large enough for two vehicles so I was unsafely parked at the opening to our campsite. It worked but it was not ideal. The gem of this location is the river and swimming hole- my kids had so much fun there! The restrooms were clean and large, showers are available and the toilets flush but no soap provided.

We love this campground and the day use areas adjacent to it. We've made this an annual tradition for nearly 20 years now. This year, however, we ran into a group of campers that were inconsiderate and lacked the respect for the river that we should all provide. These campers were very loud until well after midnight. They also left their trash, EZ Up, coolers, and floating devices at the lower day use area. Totally disrespectful of the natural beauty and other visitors. Really sad.

Beautiful spot for camping and swimming. Host are nice and friendly. Last year a good outdoor movie was shown. Not this year so we missed that feature.

Very clean bathrooms. Nice campsites. Our site was closer to the highway and you could hear a little highway noise but it wasn’t annoying and it didn’t keep us up. We were there Aug 6 and there were flies and mosquitos so prepare for that. It’s not the fault of the campground, it’s just the great outdoors in summer. Plan for it.
