No need to check in with anyone just find your spot and park! If you need to talk to someone the host is located at the A loop entrance. If you need water for your RV stop at the dump station before going to the campgrounds. Water and dumping is free. The showers and laundry are all located at the campground store. Our site was good for a small RV, but we had a larger truck so we really had to be careful how we parked. I wouldn’t get this site if you have a large over 16ft.

We stayed at campsite B5 and B7. Over all we liked B7 better due to the fact that it is mainly in the shade all day. It has a broken grill over the fire pit that can't be used so plan accordingly. Campsite B5 has direct sunlight in the morning until mid afternoon so we were unable to eat at the table as it got very hot. Overall, our stay was great! We loved our campsite as it was close to two water spigots and the bathrooms. Both are relatively flat so no need to adjust your tents on an incline. The sites are also close to the showers, gift shop/general store.

Great Campground, quieted down at night. Very family friendly. Has showers at the store in front!

Manzanita Lake and campground are my favorites spots in Lassen National Forest. I always enjoy walking around the lake, watching the waterfowl, and viewing Mt. Lassen and Chaos Crags from the trail. I enjoy the campground and its close proximity to the Lake too.

We really like this campsite. It leans on the door side and you will need to level out the trailer. The site says 40 feet rv, and I can confirm that our 40 foot toyhauler fit just fine. We do recommend backing into the site with a large trailer, as pulling through won't work with the trees in the way.
