Beautiful campground super close to the lake! The lake had such gorgeous views of mt Lassen. The campsite is clean and the bathrooms are too. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay at Manzanita Lake Campground. The campsite was clean, well maintained. The restroom facilities had flush toilets with running water, and they were consistently stocked with soap and toilet paper. If you want a hot shower, they’re available at the camper store for $5. They give you a code that’s valid for the day (the code changes daily), and it’s an easy process.
What impressed me the most was how involved the park rangers were. They weren’t overbearing, but they did a great job addressing campers who were driving too fast through the campground, not storing food properly in bear country, or ignoring basic campground etiquette. It was refreshing to see them actively protecting the experience for everyone instead of letting a few inconsiderate campers ruin it.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Clean facilities, beautiful surroundings, and staff who genuinely care about keeping the campground safe and enjoyable. I’d happily camp here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park.

While staying at this campground (loop d), we paddled out on Manzanita Lake, explored the small lakes around the mountain, visited Visitor Center and the museum (which was really cool), hiked to Manzanita Creek, and enjoyed a peaceful and quiet campsite. One of us hiked to the top of Lassen. Great experience - we all had a wonderful time, even though an unexpected thunderstorm rolled in our last night! We had to pack up WET! LOL

Great overnight camping spot lots of couples families and individuals camping not too noisy at night. The bathroom, shower amenities with the store all close to the campsite where we stayed chose loop B to be closer to the store and showers. An easy hike along the lake. Would recommend 10 out of 10.

Great tent camping, nice forested setting with lots of shade. Sites felt large and spread out, but there isn't much privacy between sites just the way the vegetation is. The camp store had grab and go food you could bring for your day’s adventures. Manzanita Lake itself is beautiful with a great view of the mountain. We went in June and it didn’t feel crowded or chaotic the way many national parks can sometimes be. Perfect experience!

Wasn’t sure what to expect at Lassen as we were catching it heading to Texas from parks in Washington and down in California at the Redwoods. Impressed with the park. Lots of hikes and the drive up Mt Lassen was incredible. Campground was quiet. After staying a night to check it out we plan to make our way back on one of our trips. Great park!

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
