Camp sites are large and lake front are the best. Mornings and evenings at the lake are the best. The wind predictably came up every day around noon. Stargazing was spectacular with no moon light. Use the bear boxes and one visited a site near us nearly every night.

There was too much brush piles in our camp site. No room for any tents. The bathrooms were very messy and the trash wasn’t emptied.

Sites are a bit tight, firewood is abundant. Bears roam at night, lock everything away and you'll be fine. Day access beach with great swimming is a short drive away.

I have to Red Feather multiple times. When it is not so crowded it is a pleasant place to camp. The spaces are separated nicely and the campground itself is well maintained. When it is busy it can be bit loud. Some folks do not have respect for the quiet of nature. If you can avoid going on an off weekend or weekday I would totally recommend it.

It was a fantastic stay for the family. We had high water and great weather. It made for a great stay. I think the who ever is in charge of the site though should work on dead and downed tree removal. There is no reason that crews cannot come in and clean up the all the downed trees. Cut them into campfire size pieces and let the campers' use it for evening fires. A win- win. Nice place just has a incredible amount of downed wood around the sites.

Lots of room at this site and a glimpse of the water. Less than 100 feet and you will be at the water. There is a small beach just a little ways down the road that runs along the lake. Love the ability to reserve a site online. You can also walk the road to the other sites and loops with the pretty view of the lake the whole time.
