What Guests Are Saying
The campground offers a beautiful reservoir and many outdoor activities like kayaking and paddleboarding, with well-maintained facilities and a dedicated camp host who keeps the area clean. However, some visitors reported issues with a rude camp host and concerns about the overall condition of the campground, including crumbling pads and maintenance needs. Despite these drawbacks, many campers enjoyed their stay and appreciated the serene environment, making it a beloved destination for repeat visitors.

I like Red feather since we can reserve slots where you can see the lake. This year the bathrooms were disgusting! They were not clean before we got there or while we were there. When the people came they would only fill it with toilet paper and spray something in the room which I don’t know what that was. But you could tell they weren’t clean due to dirty tampons all over the floor, cobwebs and bugs etc. Disappointing.

They have not been very good about cleaning the bathrooms. Take toilet paper and cleaner.
Do love the area.

We arrived on a Wednesday and it was nice a peaceful. The weekend came around and it gets busy but the campsite across from us had a very large group and were loud and loud music. Im good with people having a good time but they were blasting music/singing until 3AM. Again, Im all for a good time but 3 AM. Not cool!

My family have been going to Red Feather campgrounds for over 40 years. It is always an enjoyable experience.

My husband and I have come to this campground for years. Overall, we love this campground. This year however, with the covid scare, we were VERY disappointed in the lack of care in the campground and especially the bathrooms. We were there for 5 nights, and during that time, all bathrooms ran out of toilet paper. When the toilet paper was FINALLY replaced, no one bothered to clean the bathrooms at all. It was really gross. There were also no on-site staff, so there were 2 nights where campers were having loud raging parties past 2am in the morning, with no one there to police them.

Camp sites are large and lake front are the best. Mornings and evenings at the lake are the best. The wind predictably came up every day around noon. Stargazing was spectacular with no moon light. Use the bear boxes and one visited a site near us nearly every night.

There was too much brush piles in our camp site. No room for any tents. The bathrooms were very messy and the trash wasn’t emptied.

Sites are a bit tight, firewood is abundant. Bears roam at night, lock everything away and you'll be fine. Day access beach with great swimming is a short drive away.

I have to Red Feather multiple times. When it is not so crowded it is a pleasant place to camp. The spaces are separated nicely and the campground itself is well maintained. When it is busy it can be bit loud. Some folks do not have respect for the quiet of nature. If you can avoid going on an off weekend or weekday I would totally recommend it.
