What Guests Are Saying
Lake Mary Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts. Many visitors enjoyed activities like canoeing and stargazing, and appreciated the presence of flush toilets and paved trails. However, some sites are cramped and bear activity can be a concern, so visitors are advised to secure food properly and consider the site's layout before booking.

When we booked campsite 11, it listed that there was shade and room for a 19 foot trailer. Upon arrival we instantly realized that this was not the case. We went to talk to the camp host to see if there were any other campsites available and she told us we would have to pay for a new one and it could not be transferred. If you have a trailer or more than one tent, this campsite will not work for you. Also if there are any storms in the forecast please know that this campsite will flood. It feels like you’re in a fishbowl surrounded by other campsites.

The camp host was kind and helpful. We lucked out and didn’t have any bears get into our stuff.

The campground, especially the loop where we stayed is extremely overcrowded with densely packed sites. There is no privacy.

Camp ground is a bit tight. Very tight quarters. Beautiful lake. Clean bathrooms. Good hosts. Too many bears. Bears know how to open fully secured bear boxes. Bears come through every night and check every box. Pretty taxing to get woken up every night. Bears need to be removed or Bear boxes improved to a style like Sequoia where bears can’t open the boxes. Current bear box locking mechanism is clearly inadequate. Bear never opened our box; I also had a ratchet strap around mine been night as I watched a bear open my neighbor’s properly secured box on our 2nd night in camp.

#7 was a great choice offering ample shade, close proximity to both trash collection and restroom, and trees to hang one hammock. Would attempt to reserve this spot in the future.

Bathrooms near our campsite were out of service and not available for 2-3 days. No communication from camp host or signs were posted. Very inconvenient.

The site are too close to each other. We can’t pitch our tent without touching the neighbors.

Lovely site with good shade and friendly host. I highly recommend the walk through beautiful woods to visit nearby (less than a mile) Horseshoe Lake for swimming!
