The campsite looked like the photos posted. The restroom was very clean and well lit. The Ranger came by to give us our car tag. She was very friendly and welcoming. She reminded us to stay aware about rattlesnake dangers.

Really cannot give a fair review here. Once coming to this site, we decided not to stay. We were unaware that the lake on which the campground is situated was so depleted. The campsite, - which appears on the RECREATION.GOV site to be at waters edge - is now about a football's field away. As such, the campground is nearly abandoned. On a Saturday afternoon, there were fewer than 5 others there. Also, as this site is currently not greatly utilized, the bathroom was .... somewhat filthy and infested with spiders....
In all fairness, this campground choice was a bit of a Hail Mary. Our reservation for a Campground in the northern part of the state was cancelled for some reason by the Forest Service. As we were in the midst of a camping adventure - and it was a busy weekend - Trimmer was just about the only place available via RECREATION.GOV. We had no great expectations for this site, but came anyway. There was no facility to ascertain the current condition short of showing up.
It would be most helpful to have some function on the RECREATION.GOV that gave some sense of current conditions - temperature range, etc at most - and especially these more remote - sites?
