Many campers appreciate the spacious sites, scenic lake views, and well-maintained restrooms. Lots of sites are small, lots of bugs, hot, but great experience. Rangers were present, felt safe. Would go again!

This is an easy place to stay and great when the reservoir has plenty of water. Many sites have good separation from other sites if you prefer more space around you. Bathrooms have shower access. Watch for snakes while out walking. Day use areas are available throughout the park. Dump station by entrance to campground area.

On my first night there, which was a Monday night it looked like a free-for-all six vehicles across from me to JetSki’s playing loud music. I don’t think they paid for any permits because when the park ranger showed up, they scattered like cockroaches. Then a campsite to the north of me and to the South east they decided to party until after 1 AM. The one campsite was sending up like fire balloons in the sky and I’m thinking wow with all the dry grass. This could be bad I don’t know what they called them but it’s like a fire beneath the bag and then it floods up into the sky I thought four going up at once thinking this could be very dangerous. After that night it was very quiet and enjoyable. I think the park rangers or sheriff department need to do a drive-through at quiet time which is 10 PM.

Although the campsites have large enough, the usable area is small. The pad just fit my trailer. Then steep drop off.
No host available, so the ranger had to do checkin. Ranger was friendly.
