What Guests Are Saying
Hidden View campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a great choice for relaxation and family activities. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites, scenic lake views, and well-maintained restrooms. However, noise levels can be an issue on weekends, and some rules regarding campsite usage are not always enforced. Overall, it's a popular destination for those seeking a peaceful outdoor experience, especially during cooler months.

A large number of the sites are unsuitable for travel trailers - they are narrow width and with a significant grade that can make it difficult to level a trailer. Campground roads are narrow and twisty which would be problematic for long trailers (over 24 ft length) - they are navigable if you pay careful attention when you are driving them. I found on one loop (?A) only one water spigot.
The good points are: fantastic views of the lake, clean bathrooms with hot showers (free-thanks Corps of Engineers), trash cans are readily accessible, and park rangers are friendly and helpful.
Watch your drive through the gates to the campground - clearance for vehicle and trailer is just adequate.

The grounds are clean and the staff is polite but the homeless that come in at night and use the showers and restrooms, and empty camps electricity hookups for cooking and charging leave you feeling a bit unsafe and worried to leave your site in fear of being ripped off. We have been going there for several years but are not so sure about going back now, since we never have seen this before.

Great place to camp, especially with children. We selected a spot close to the playground and the kids were thrilled when they saw it. Firewood was cheap ($5/bundle). Bathrooms were clean. We would definitely return!

Water is way too low as of Nov 2022 when we stayed.. It was supposed to be stocked that week but we couldn't get a bite any of the times we went down to the water.. no boat ramps were usable or even in the water and u can cast as far as u can throw from the bank and still not get any water that's deeper then a few feet... :(

Not enough room to park the truck without blocking the next site. Would be nice to have heat in the bathroom for showers.
