What Guests Are Saying
Hidden View campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a great choice for relaxation and family activities. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites, scenic lake views, and well-maintained restrooms. However, noise levels can be an issue on weekends, and some rules regarding campsite usage are not always enforced. Overall, it's a popular destination for those seeking a peaceful outdoor experience, especially during cooler months.

Good USACE campground with around three good shaded sites. No camp host on site.

We love this campground. It is close to home, it is well maintained, the staff are super friendly, the bathroom/shower facilities are clean and shower is free. We come here often with family and friends. The walking trails are nice too.

I have both pros and cons.
It matters were you camp at Hensley Lake. For example, if you camp near the day use boat ramp area expect a lot of foot and vehicle traffic in and around your campsite, ie, #45.
Campsites further in the campground are quieter. However, camping near the group sites bring in a lot of foot traffic through your camp.
Campground security was close to average. There are day users driving around the campground at all hours of the day and night. Ranger presence appear to be focused on the boat ramp area vs the campground.
On the weekends, there is typically loud music playing up to 1:00 am.
If you call and report problems to the Ranger's Station, they are extremely proactive and take care of any issues with campers breaking the rules. More campers need to report problems asap before situations escalates.
It is a nice campground with a few shaded sites for RVs. Most sites are in the sun for vehicle camping.
Overall, I plan to visit again.

We are locals to the area, and normally camp at Hensley for the experience, and being close to home. The second to the last stay, we had obnoxiously loud, rude neighbors who kept us up until midnight. They were in a very large, tan color motorhome, with out of state plates. The rangers did come out and shut their music down around 10:30 PM (quiet time in the park is 10). This time, a month later, the same individuals were in our paid for spot with a dead battery/vehicle problems (What are the odds). I believe they received a citation, and the rangers were very kind, and upgraded our rented spot just a tad over. Those same individuals returned that evening, right next to us, and our truck battery happened to be dead in the morning (We've never had a dead battery). When we got home we learned our battery had been switched out. My husband is a mechanic and maintains our vehicles. We had an AC Delco battery, swapped out with a very dead , cheap, Walmart battery. Needless to say, until those individuals are banned from the premises, we will be camping and visiting other locations. The one positive thing I can say is the rangers at this location are very kind.

We should have taken a different site when we realized there were vacant sites. Ours was At the end of a closed off road, on a hill, with the water and electric connections so far away we’re citizens connect, and a useless table hard to access from the site. Other sites were much more usable.
