Many campers appreciate the spacious sites, scenic lake views, and well-maintained restrooms. This was a great campsite. Had good cellphone reception and very nice clean restroom. The cherry on top was that some sites had electric outlets so it was great to stay warm in the windy nights,

We stayed at Hidden view campground for about 5 days in February. Absolutely stunning views of the storm and the clouds. We enjoyed hiking around the lake and watching the variety of birds. The volunteers were super friendly and welcoming and hardworking keeping the park clean. The rangers were always driving around and working. Bathrooms were very clean and nice hot water and water pressure. We had a fantastic experience here in site 22. Thank you Hensley Lake staff and rangers for your kindness and care. Safe travels.

The campground was about 20% full on a weekend at the end of January. The campsite was recently raked as were others nearby. The camp host volunteers were also out picking up discards on their morning rounds .Only a few boats on the lake fishing, but a fair number of people bank fishing around the lake. . The restrooms were clean and had been recently serviced. The staff was lowkey and polite like always here.

We came here over New Years Holiday weekend with our dog. Our purpose was to get away from the gunshots. booms and illegal fireworks in the Fresno/Clovis metro area. I talked with other campers who were doing the same thing with their dogs. It was completely dead quiet. Not a sound.
We come here often. it is always very very good. Clean restrooms and pleasant courteous staff.

The camp sites could be a bit bigger at least for the pad the trailer is setting on. It is too narrow, and it isn't level from right to left. A few more trees would be nice for in the summer months when it most likely gets pretty hot. Having the power and water hookups is a good deal, and the rest rooms with showers are a great touch, we used them. I did like the BBQ being raised up to a more usable height rather than being right on the ground as in most National Forest camp grounds.
A few floating fishing piers would be nice for people that don't have boats, or a boat rental.

This is a lovely campground. The sites are a reasonable size and there are utility hookups. Sites are not too close together. The lake is further away than I liked, and water levels are low. I will return!

The campground is well maintained and in good order with a generally nice clientele. We live close by and it is a great jumping off point for adventures beyond. Can't wait to see how the lake will fill up this winter and how the fishing will be great! Oh, by the way, the rangers are very friendly and knowledgeable as well, making it a secure and friendly location that would be great for families, too, as there is a playground that looks like a lot of fun!
