What Guests Are Saying
Hidden View campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a great choice for relaxation and family activities. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites, scenic lake views, and well-maintained restrooms. However, noise levels can be an issue on weekends, and some rules regarding campsite usage are not always enforced. Overall, it's a popular destination for those seeking a peaceful outdoor experience, especially during cooler months.

We live coming to Hensley Lake but are noticing that the restrooms are getting old and definitely need an upgrade, in the very least the showers need to be fixed as the grate that covers the drain is broken and my daughter fell because of it and cut her foot. Also the toilets look gross and I understand it’s staining but there are ways to remove the staining. Also the new garbage facilities stink. We much prefer having the garbage cans throughout the campsites rather than dumpsters. The rangers also need to enforce the noise rules as there were campers blaring their music and nothing was said to them, playing music at a decent level is fine but when I’m all the way on the other side of the campgrounds and can hear it perfectly it’s way to loud.

We come here frequently for a short quick getaway with our trailer since it is close to the Fresno/Clovis area. The campground was in very good condition, which is always the case. The 3 staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful. The rolling California foothills with a view of the Sierras after the Fall rains to green things up, is very nice.

Space 37 C. Great spot. Restrooms clean, stocked and very close to this spot. Water is crossing the road not on the space, so be aware. Hike spots are nice and very doable. Looking forward to our next visit.

Sure 51 although probably tight for a larger rig, my 23’ travel trailer fit with no issues. Near two bathrooms that were clean and well stocked. The only issue I had was the fire pit. It was in a spot that was a bit difficult. It was right next to the picnic table that is chained in place. Other than that, the water was good and the 30 amp power was good. The 30 amp plug needs replacing, but my surge suppressor had no issues connected. The code was needed for the dump station, but the ranger provided the code so no issues.

Quiet, clean bathrooms though they could use some updating. Nice playground for kids.

I think the best time of the year is October, and November, and most of the cooler months. I would think that unless you like to spend most of your time in the water the simmer months would be too hot.

It was crowded being the off season. A camper's two dogs and cat were off lease and roaming in occupied campsites, ie, their loose pets set off my alarms all day and night. The big dog continually frieghten me. Rangers got involved, but once the ranger left, dogs were released again to roam. And another camper flew a drone over my campsite and a friend's camp area. Rangers got involved.

Family loved our stay. Ample amount of space for the kids to run around.
