What Guests Are Saying
Tannery Campground offers a beautiful setting with well-maintained facilities, clean bathrooms, and spacious campsites, making it a great spot for families and friends to create lasting memories. While some visitors reported issues with the campground host's friendliness and noise disturbances from other campers, many still enjoyed the overall experience, highlighting the scenic lake and shaded areas. It's recommended to bring your own water and be aware of potential disruptions during busy holiday weekends.

The campground was clean and well kept with adequate space between sites. My primary complaint was that there's no enforcement of a noise curfew, so a large group of teenagers across from us partied until the early hours of the morning.
There's also no obvious notice that there is an expectation of a quiet time. This tends to ruin the whole camping experience.

Great camping! Big sites and perfect combination of tree coverage. Bathrooms were clean and camp host was super friendly and helpful. Town is a bit of a drive away but you can get what you need there.

This was an amazing primitive site. Quiet campsite with beautiful water sounds to fall asleep to.

There was no warning about the Dixie fire. We couldn’t even make it to the camp site with all the smoke.

We had a wonderful time at Tannery. The campgrounds are spacious, the bathrooms are clean and there is quick access to water where we kept our boat. The camp host, Hauva, is so amazing and friendly. We will absolutely come back.

Beautiful campgrounds and quiet when we camped during the week. The bathrooms were especially clean and this was a comfort. The lake is super low unfortunately but we rented a boat and had a good time from the marina across the lake.

Beautiful site with plenty of room for tents and guests. Nice view of the unfortunately low lake with a little bit of a steep hike down if you are willing to try. We would stay here again if it weren’t for the bees swarming especially when water is around I.e. washing dishes. The trip was cut a day short because our toddler was afraid of getting stung and was begging to leave. When we were packing to leave we had more bees surrounding us than before and we’re glad when we could get inside the vehicle and away from them.

We were unable to fit our 5th wheel in the reserved site. When we booked, we listed the length and the site we reserved was listed as appropriate for our size rig. On arrival, there was no way for us to maneuver into the site. We had to leave and book another site in Redding an hour away. We forfeited two nights at Tannery with no refund.
