One of the most beautiful campgrounds managed by USACE. Camphost volunteer on site through the winter is a big plus.

Beautiful location! This campground has some of the best views of any we’ve stayed in. Site 34 is huge with a panoramic view of the area. The website says it can fit a rig up to 80 feet, but anything longer than 30 feet may be difficult to maneuver in the upper loop. If you can’t make it back with your large rig though, they do have a parking lot overflow that is easy to get into. Our Airstream is 25 feet and backing all the way into sight 34 put us at a 3% grade. It is level able, but you will definitely need chocks and leveling blocks. Bathrooms have flush toilets and showers were pretty gross by campground standards. The place was very peaceful during the week, but got noisy on the weekend and sounded like a club at times. People kind of trashed the bathrooms and my husband found a needle in the bathroom. We would definitely return for the views, but not the poorly designed campground.

Stayed here M-F about two weeks ago with my son. Gorgeous views and really clean campsite (#21 is the site to get if you’re tenting it). Park volunteers were super friendly. Not sure how it is on weekends, but we were one of only 3 campsites occupied the entire week, so it was very peaceful. Bathrooms have showers, but make sure you use the one that keeps the door closed. The bathroom/shower at top of hill left doors open so about a million bugs lay dead on the floor. Not a dealbreaker, though. The other bathroom was surprisingly clean.
Will definitely camp here again!!

#30 was great , best view of the lake. But we were too close to the campsite adjacent to us, there was a loud family with noisy children running around. Not the best experience , but the location and views made up for it. 11/11/2023.

Our campsite at Island Park was fabulous! We had a beautiful view overlooking the lake. And the night skies!!!!! This is what camping should look like! We have already decided that we will come back for more nights.

This was a great location, loved the view and the bathroom and facilities were okay. It could be more maintained.

The campground is laid out nicely and generally in good condition and we really enjoyed it not being crowded. Think there were 4 other campers in the entire campground. But it was disappointing to see so much trash all around the campsites, the campground and on the areas from the campsites down to the lake. I know you can't control that but it is a bummer to be experiencing the outdoors and in such a nice environment at Pine Flat to see so much garbage. Unfortunately we will not be coming back to the lake as a result.
