Clean restrooms. Traffic to boat launch drove like they were in a race. Electric was in an inconvenient place for back ins. Bring long extension cords to access it. Space 49 didn’t have a spigot for fresh water that we could find.

Great location with nice view. The site 18 fits for a large tent and the parking is close.

Park Island Campground had a resort vibe. I enjoyed my stay and felt very safe. The rangers did a great job patrolling, were helpful, and friendly. Gates are locked at night on the weekends, but campers can exit in an emergency. Pine Flat Lake is beautiful with many visitors enjoying water sports. I plan to visit again.

The area was beautiful, remote, and the lake was refreshing but site 10 was very unlevel our front tires were lifted 6 inches and yet the rv was still not level enough to keep the refrigerator running. It was not safe to bring the front tires higher, plus we did not have any more boards to level

Pros: Lake is walking distance and you get a really good spot in front of the lake if you go early.
Great if you have kids where they can bike around because of the flat road and you can still see the kids from afar.
Very great spot if you have boat or water activities. If you can't swim, don't. It's very deep.
Cons: Bathroom is dirty. No shower in the overflow area.
No signal. You will have to go back to the main road and drive on the upper part to have signal.
If you go on holidays or season with many campers - it got full the weekend we were there cos of holiday and many neighbor campers were loud.
Because you're literally close to your neighbor camper, expect that it wont be as quiet as you want it to be. Many campers were inconsiderate and super loud and the noise bounces back within the overflow area because of the walls around.
The campsites are literally right next to each with a thin line separating each spot.
Lake water near the shore is muddy. Not really a great spot to swim for kids.
Advice: Do not book E1 overflow. There's a very big rock on the spot.
Do not book spot near the bathroom. You'll smell it.
Bring mullet or hammer, the ground is hard.
Windy. Prepare accordingly.
Do not forget sunscreen in the summer. You'll get roasted in the overflow.
