HARD TO FIND with directions...It's out there...small campground, quiet. Bathrooms were the downfall.

This campground needs a lot of work. All sights are not level... not just a little but by a great deal ..... unlevel. I know it is old, but for goodness sakes improvements are greatly needed. Bathrooms/showers were very verty dirty. There were weird weasels or some sort of hybrid squirrels by the hundreds that would mark all their ground dens by pee. I was so worried we would bring one home. The pictures are nothing on what the park is. The road in is very windy and when you finally arrive there is a couple of steep switch backs to the camp sights. Only very comfident people should attempt this. Only 30 amp too. Never again will I stay here. I was counting the hours to leave.

This was my first time to Pine Flats camping area and locating the group site was a bit confusing. The site was well maintained and spacious. However the additional group site neighbors were not the most considerate. Overall it was relaxing.

I don't know who designed this park. Nearly every site is extremely unlevel. The most unlevel of any park I've ever been to. Many areas are dead-ends so if you have a trailer you better be good at backing up. The only thing that kept me from rating it lower is that there are showers and some sites have electrical hookups.

Island Park is a well established campground with full water / electrical hookups and the views over the lake are lovely. We were fortunate when we visited that a fishing competition was taking place on the lake so we were able to witness the weigh-in and prize-giving as well as joining in the cook-out with the 50+ crews. It was quite an experience!
