Beautiful scenery. Site just above lake. Restrooms and showers. Friendly and helpful ranger.
But, sites are close together, and our neighbor decided to light a campfire in his fire ring at 1 am, seemingly close to our sleeping heads. Also noisy on Memorial Day weekend. One ladies restroom had a lot of stagnant water that attracted bugs.

We stayed in site 9 at the top of the hill. You parked in the parking lot, but had a quiet, private sitting area with a great view of the lake. It was fairly close to attractions we wanted to see. The bathrooms were not cleaned often enough.

Horrible experience. We had the campsite reserved for 2 nights. When we arrived, the people camped in the site next to ours had their truck parked in our site. They gave us several stupid excuses about why they parked there & it took them 30 minutes to move it. Later that night, out of nowhere, my 10 month old puppy, who was perfectly healthy up until that point, started having seizures & lost consciousness. We rushed him to the emergency pet hospital in Fresno. They told us he had been poisoned but that his vitals were stable & they monitored him all night. They think he ate some type of drug that someone must've dropped at the campground. He survived the ordeal & is doing better now but we don't know if any permanent damage was done or if this will cause him problems in the future. When my husband went back up to campground the next morning, the people camped next to us were parked in our campsite again & they had taken some of our belongings. My husband got our stuff back from them & made them move their truck AGAIN. He then packed everything up & came home even though we had the campsite reserved for one more night.

Had a great time camping with friends from church. The kayaking was great and the kids really enjoyed getting out of the kayak and standing on submerged picnic tables. The water level is really high this year.

It was a very nice experience. I personally love camping here. This time around we had an issue with someone taking our reserved campsite. The Ranger was about to fix the problem and the rest of the day as spectacular.
